Retiring tomorrow
So after 38 years in the NHS I hang up my fob watch and retire tomorrow. I was supposed to retire end of July but agreed to stay a little longer due to covid and to settle my successor into post.
Despite all of the trials and tribulations of life in the NHS I can honestly say I’ve had a fab career. I’ve been privileged to work with some of the most passionate dedicated and compassionate people you would ever care to meet and I’d do it all again in a heartbeat.

Happy retirement - I retired from the NHS 3 years ago, slightly earlier than planned and I love it!

Have a long and very happy and fruitful retirement with lots of fun and holidays!
 And thank you so much for your dedicated service! (I have two children who will be entering the NHS, one as a nurse, one as a Doctor) - such an admirable worthwhile way to spend your working life!
