If social services saw what we used to eat 🤣 nothing better than crisp, banana or sugar sarnies.

Potato scallops and ketchup! It's still my favourite now even though I never have it since my local chippy doesn't do them and I don't like deep frying things myself. So sometimes I'll settle for a chip butty instead.

I never had shop bought bread until I left home as my mum baked her own practically every day. LOVED buns warm from the oven and the butter dripping from them. Never needed a filling

Lettuce, tomato, scallion and salad cream sandwich on white bread. Oh my mouth’s watering at the thought of it!

Salmon spread or potted beef. I once went to a party when I was about 7 and I took a big bite from a sandwich I thought to be potted beef and it was a brown sauce sandwich! 🤮. Scarred me for life.

At my house this wasn’t a sandwich it was “pudding” Not on bread but spread on a digestive biscuit a la cheesecake!
