Phuket

Im really trying to find somewhere other than Disney this year.
I know Phuket is rainy season in August, but so is Orlando. Is Phuket still somewhere we could consider. Its half the cost of Cancun.

Hi, we did phuket in August 2016, we had a fantastic time.
The weather was hit and miss, a bit like orlando when it rains it rains!
But unlike orlando the sun didn’t really make an appearance but it was hot i will attach some pics for you. But it was one of my best holidays for getting a tan. If you are beach people I wouldn‘t go as the beach was a no go area very rough. But we had a fab time and only spent £3000 inc spending money, flights and 5* accommodation.

Thank you. Its the price that appeals to me.
Not really beach people, maybe a paddle and sit on the sand. More pool or water park.

We’ve stayed here a couple of times villaangelicaphuket/ when it was called Baan Malinee (previous owners). The recent reviews show it is still top notch.

We went to Phuket last summer, it was lovely. Stayed at Karon Beach at Centara Karon resort. Breakfast was fabulous! We visited the beach and went in the sea, it was really nice. Stayed there for a week, had one day where it poured all day(we were at the elephant sanctuary so this was fine) and a morning where it rained for an hour or so. Did not really impact on our trip, don’t let the weather put you off.

We have spent the last 2 weeks of August in Orlando for the last 3 years and have decided on a change this year. Like you, the rainy season doesn't bother us so we are spending 10 nights in Khao Lak and 3 nights in Phuket from 17th August. Cost just over £2,000 for the 3 of us

We are in khao lak now.It is one of our winter sun destinations that we enjoy.
A lot of Australians visit during the rainy season, due to lower prices, for both flights and hotels and they often say that they have had a lot better weather than predicted.
