Hi everyone
I don’t know what to do, we are meant to be flying tomorrow to Edinburgh, easyJet changed our flight times a number of time lately and we had decided not to go anyway. I put in a claim for a refund weeks ago although the flight wasn’t cancelled but they did say on an email if they don’t suit you can change the booking of ask for a voucher. We would be happy with the voucher but it’s impossible to get through to them on the phone. I tried today again for over an hour but still was waiting.
So am I likely to get this voucher if I can’t get through, if we don’t turn up I guess we won’t get any money back, I just don’t know how to proceed. To change the flights the costs would be more than the ticket price.
Any advise anyone.

Can you not go online to Manage your booking and claim the voucher yourself without the need to phone ?

My flight is now cancelled. I can log in to Manage my booking and follow the options. I’m sure I could go to the options before it was cancelled. You can exchange for any other flight up to September 2021, accept a voucher or apply for a refund.

No there are no options for me to choose, I have just emailed customer services don’t hold much hope though 🤷🏼

When easyjet emailed me to give me the option of a voucher they told me to email my request to them. I got a reply email fairly quickly and the voucher was then emailed to me 2-3 weeks later.

I would add a caution though as you can only use the voucher by calling easyjet, you can't use it online. After 3 hours on hold last week I gave up and booked the flights I needed online as the prices were going up. I just have to hope I'll be able to use the voucher next year sometime when hopefully call times are more sensible.

So if you can take a refund I would definitely do that.
