Scars and how to lessen the redness?

Now a month since had the offending mole removed. Ii was malignant but they managed to excise it all and I don't need further treatment. The Dermatologist did a wonderful job and it is cosmetically sound, a brilliant piece of surgery. Just wondered if there was anything to apply to lessen the redness and get rid of the obvious scar?

I’ve heard good things about decleor prolagene gel being able to reduce scarring, but never tried it myself.

Lots of places do it cheaper than decleor themselves.

Bio oil worked well for my sons facial scar. I was sceptical , but massaging the area daily with it helped.

That's great news

As far as scars go, in my experience I've found time the best healer. I had a hysterectomy back in January via keyhole, three incisions and now you have to look really hard to actually see the scars. I'm really pleased with how they've healed.

Bio Oil is also good I've heard from others.

I fell and had a gash on forehead requiring internal and external stitches . I used this
HealGel Intensive Skin Care Gel 30 ml amazon/dp/B00B7HCA...ing=UTF8&psc=1

Expensive ( might be able to get it cheaper elsewhere )

It really worked and definitely recommend .

Can you ask your consultant for a cream recommendation? My work friend had similar removed and had a cream to apply.

I have had a few skin cancers removed here and there over the years but the scars on my ear and knee never have gone away after using every product I could find in Boots - Bio oil just made my ear red and angry.

I've been discharged from their care but I could try, thanks.
