That's the trouble-my hair isnt in good condition.

I dont use any heated appliances, I condition every wash, deep condition a couple times a week. Sometimes I'll use olive oil and keep it on overnight.
Despite this it's always dry, I've tried only washing it once a week just conditioning but then it goes very greasy and lank.

I only colour it once or twice a year (just too expensive for me)
I've tried using various "frizz control" products-lasts a little while but ultimately it just gets bigger and bigger during the day.
I could play the part of crystal tipps if they made it into a film!

Any hair length is always going to look better if the hair is in fantastic condition. Some hair styles do make women look younger or older depending on the cut and colouring. It’s up to each woman to decide what’s best for her. I decided to have a pixie cut in February and it makes me look much younger than a long bob cut. It also removed the dry hair problem I had and now it’s in much better condition. I condition it twice a week and have done for years so I’m going to change the conditioner too.

Your hair is lovely
Have you thought to take a supplement of Biotin? It does help and also helps with brittle nails.

I’m 52 and I have mid length hair. I’m happy with it, I don’t like short hair on me. I like that I can wear it up or down, but I think you should do what you want to do, age makes no difference.

I've always had long hair, even mid fifties I have really quite long hair.

Short hair has never ever suited me (nor has straight hair but that's another story, the messier/curlier the better as far as I'm concerned )
Long and messy that's me

I remember my MIL seriously telling me once I hit 40 that I ought to be having a short easy to keep style.
Terrified the life out of me.
Short hair , to me, is ageing ( Don't shoot me! Just IMO! )

I love your hair! Photo 2, how do you find having a long fringe? Does it stay like it is in the photo or do you find it a pain, gets in your way/your eyes etc?

I’ve only had a full fringe once, about 10 years ago and normally have no fringe but Long hair like your first photo but I’m bored! My daughter is a hairdresser so it would be maintenance free (for me )
