I was working at my desk at home and had my mobile on speaker so I was happy to hold as it wasn’t as if I had phone pressed to my ear for 60 mins.

The lady I got through to was excellent, as said, all done in 2 mins in a very efficient manner. I thanked her and praised her for how easy she made it to process the cancellation once I had got through.

I was conscious that I would have been probably over 100 calls she had to answer that day. I was just really happy to get a resolution so was in a good mood but I’m always aware that the individual on the other end of any phone call is not the one who has caused these issues.

When I called them and spoke to someone about 35 minutes ago, the guy denied they were moving the Mco flights to Heathrow , claimed that BA haven’t made any announcement about it, so I said well why can I do dummy bookings and it comes up with Heathrow to mco flights then? His reply was that since I also have hotel booked he can’t help me and I need to call tomorrow and ask for the BA holiday team and then said goodnight and hung up on me lol , was surprising as have had excellent service and communication with them since the start of the covid panademic

I had an email from BA cancelling our flights for 11th - 25th March 2021 but when I looked at Manage My Booking our flights for this November 11th - 25th November 2020 are still showing as live, strange they have cancelled our March flights but not our November flights for this year.

The 11th nov and the 25th nov are both wednesday’s this is one of the three days a week(mon, weds, sat) they plan to fly to mco so that’s why there not cancelled. Your March trip departs on thurs in both directions that’s why they are cancelled

Same here, outbound GLA to LGW cancelled. I had booked a package with BA, staying at All Stars, decided to cancel the whole thing. Didn’t have to wait to long on the phone and getting a full refund wasn’t a problem. The girl I spoke to was lovely and mentioned that Disney wouldn’t be the same this year 😢 Now to try and get a refund from Disney on my tickets as I’m not sure I’ll be there again before Sep 2021 when they expire 😭😭

Thumbs up

So after the initial panic yesterday with our inbound November flight (a Tuesday) being cancelled with thanks to Racnoss we went on to the BA app and amended the booking to fly home a day earlier - Monday. 5 minute job and confirmed, so we are good to go again, no dramas, panic over

Basically if you fly Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Gatwick to MCO is still a goer.

(Unless BA move the goal posts or Trumpy doesn't let us in!)

Edited at 10:22 AM.

I'm not convinced about those days of the week though. Someone on flyertalk said they could only access reward flights for those days initially but then it all changed and it was the other days..

You can still book ANY day of the week for LGW-MCo and on either flight as well as the LHR one. I don't think BA has loaded the correct schedule yet which is causing a lot of confusion

Interesting as we are shifting the villa and car booking to suit at the moment. Suppose we’ll have to just keep an eye on things and see what happens. Ultimately we need Mr T to allow air travel in before we get too excited 😊

bighal - what dates are you looking at where you can see LHR and both Gatwick flights I am looking at the week from 25th Oct and can only see 1 LHR and 1 LGW. If I go forward to 17th November there is just 1 from LHR and then 1 LHR and 1 LGW on 18th (Wednesday) but once you get into Summer timetable there is 1 x LHR and 2 LGW - HOW Confusing.

Going through the choices I saw that the outbound in early Nov still showed LGW as an option as well as LHR. May have been an error I guess as I'm sure they wouldn't operate to MCO from both on the same day. No way were we leaving from LGW and returning to LHR so I just changed both flights to LHR.

As our glasses are slowly becoming half empty I'll not be rushing parking and hotels at T5 yet.

From my earlier post on this thread.

Our outbound flight is 1st Nov (all being well ) and when I picked the change flight option from the email I saw outbound options from LHR and LGW. As soon as I picked LHR for both flights and confirmed it the option buttons disappeared. The MMB button on the email now just takes me to the usual page.

I haven't since been on the web site though to see what departure options are now available.

Mick
