Sorry to jump on the thread but I was wondering if these companies allow you to pay a set amount each month? One of the reasons I don’t switch around is because I like/need to budget and I can’t manage the thought of paying £10 one month and £200 the next!

Our Octopus direct debit is a fixed amount each month. When our first year was up they returned the surplus (checking with me first how much I wanted to be refunded) and revised the direct debit amount for the upcoming year accordingly.

First year was not an accurate prediction because we had just moved in to a new house.

We’ve been with them about three about three years now. Have found them to be excellent. Meter reading every month, pay regular monthly direct debit and they keep you up to date with usage etc.
I check each year to compare that it is still a competitive price.

I was with Octopus for a few year and now with Yorkshire energy as it was cheaper.

The gas and electricity Octopus provided me worked fine.
