Reward voucher /points how best to use ?

A very Novice person doing this ... and I know its too early to book but wondered if anyone could help with the options I may have as its for august 2025... Maybe even doing a dummy run for this August to get a rough idea of price ...
So we have £200.00 in virgin compensation vouchers
80.000 virgin points (at the moment)
A reward companion voucher
Wanting to go 22nd august returning 30th August Manchester to New York return 2 adults would like premium depending on options but would love upper class would I be able to save much using all these please ...

Well there aren’t a lot of ways to use points so I am not sure what you mean by best use. Anyway you have easily enough points for premium economy but assuming you are red tier status, you are a long way short of the points for Upper even with using the companion voucher as you still need 50% of the points for the companion for that.

You have to call to use a companion voucher, so you might as well take the opportunity to ask them if there is a better strategy.

Personally I’d look at trying to use the points and £200 voucher together and secure premium economy seats which if memory serves me right would normally be 110k points for two return tickets. Then use the voucher as an upgrade to upper for the the two of you one way. If you collect a second voucher at a later date, phone and see if this could be used on the other leg.
I would phone VA and ask to discuss your options, they have been great with me, even extending the date of a voucher so I wouldn’t lose it.
