Champions Gate, tell me everything!
Hi all!
I’m booked to go here next year, super excited, but I can’t seem to find any details on the Dibb. I’ve seen lots of recommendations to stay here, but no one has said what they love about it We usually stay at Emerald Isle but found a lovely villa so opted for this resort. Has anyone stayed here? What’s it like? I think there are restaurants on site, is this right or are they nearby? Any info would be super appreciated! |

What resort are you staying at?
Championsgate is our favorite area to stay in. It's close to the I4 and has lots of places to eat such as Chili's, Miller's ale house, Wendy's to name a few. You also have Publix, Walgreens etc, i don't think you'll be disappointed

The area classed as Champions Gate is huge and includes many different villa communities.
We love the area too but none of the villas are within walking distance to the shops/restaurants so when you say on site that still means a short drive to them. Edited at 07:48 PM. |

Oh! 😯 I didn't know it was an area and not one community! I may have to ask the travel agent 😢 we have seen and booked the specific villa but I thought Champions Gate was the name of the community. Not sure it helps but we have an on-site lazy river and access to the gold course, but i assume this is the same for all communities local to the course lol. I'm glad I asked now! Thank you both x

Hi, could be The Retreat at Championsgate Resort? It has a lazy river and tiki bar but all other amenities would be driving distance at Championsgate. championsgate
It could also be reunion it has a lazy river and golf courses. Best to ask your agent. |

It isn't far at all from Emerald Island so you would still have pretty good access to all the restaurants on 192.
I would recommend First Watch for breakfast or lunch. That is a place I make the opposite journey to go to.

We have booked a villa for 2019 in champions gate, and the resort is “The Retreat” which has a big golf course, club house and lazy river and swimming pool, so sounds as though it could be here, but this will be my first visit to Orlando so could be another resort I’ve not read up on/heard about. Even with it being my first trip I’m slightly obsessed with researching all things Disney and Orlando ! So I’ll be keeping an eye on this thread ! 😀
