Universal 2 day, 2 park hopper - I’ve been a piece of paper ticket?

Heloooo it’s been a few years since I’ve been to universal. I’ve ordered a 2 Park 2 day ticket from Orlando attractions. I’ve ordered with them loads before and they’re great.
However I’ve been sent an A4 bit of paper. It clearly states what the ticket it is and says on it ‘this is your ticket, go straight to the turnstiles’. I’ve never been sent a bit of paper before and have never seen this before - the last time I’ve ordered this ticket I got a credit card sized thing made of thicker paper.
Can someone help and reassure me this is real?

Yeah, that's not unusual. The turnstiles have barcode scanners on them I think.

You’ll be fine. We ordered our tickets direct from Universal and they were emailed to us to be printed off, just an A4 piece of paper .

I always prefer proper tickets that fit in the waterproof lanyard pouches and won’t get ruined if they get wet.

We had the paper ticket once and took it to guest services to ask if we could have the proper ticket instead, it was no problem and got to keep the ticket for a souvenir

Yes, I’ll be upgrading it to an AP anyway on the first day so should get it swapped for a proper ticket

Would they swap them at the hotel we are staying at portofino and I know they had a ticket sales desk at RPR when we stayed there last time? I would also like a real ticket to put in a lanyard and have ordered 2 day hopper from Orlando Attractions.

If the hotel has a ticket desk then they should be able to swap them, if not guest services can.

The turnstiles have barcode scanners that work for both the A4 paper tickets and the small cards.
