Escalade - 6 people

I got a reasonable deal for an Escalade (always wanted to drive one!) for this august, there was going to be five of us, but now there's six and I'm wondering if it's going to be big enough or if I'll need to get a Tahoe or something.

Has anyone got 6 people plus luggage into an Escalade before?

We had one on our last trip and it is a big car. There were only three of us. I think it will be tight for six adults and luggage although you only need to carry luggage to and from accommodation. If you can get the long wheelbase version then there will be loads of space.

I think they both use the same chassis as their dimensions are exactly the same except for the Caddy being 1/2” longer. Bring up a piccy of both and you can see. A bit more than badge engineering but very similar.

Pretty Sure a Tahoe will be cheeky for luggage for 6 also.

If it's 6 adults and bags, you might need to look at a Surburban, Yukon XL or Expedition EL. All are 7 seaters, with the room in the boot for all the bags.

With all the 3 rows in use in a Tahoe, you'll only get 2-3 suitcases in the back (if that)

We struggled with 5 people and our luggage (7 bags). Had 8 bags on the way back so one of us got a taxi back to the airport with a couple of bags. Would definitely do that again if the price was right - its a lovely car to drive and plenty of room without lots of luggage
