Love going in July and August, everyone is geared up for the heat, we didn't have any problems as air con everywhere, it's not a sunbathing type of holiday - you are always on the move or doing something - in and out of rides, travelling to the parks, eating indoors etc so you should be just fine.

We always go early August, we tend to make sure we have a quick service meal that has tables indoors so we get a break in the cool. I find once it clouds over before the afternoon storm it isn’t as bad. As others have said we do a park til 2-3ish and then go back in the evening. Have fun

This year I was there early August and given the weather we had at home, it didn't actually seem that hot.
August also doesn't seem to be peak time nowadays. My tips are simple. If on site do EMH or get there for rope drop. I arrived at MK (not an EMH day) and managed to virtually walk on Space, Thunder, Haunted, Splash and Philharmonic by 10am, having arrived at normal rope drop at 8. Then have fast passes kicking in from 10. Then learn how to use the app. Remember it gives preference to people in the park, so as soon as you scan in for a fast pass, go to your next one and amend it. Keep refreshing and you may see earlier times appear, so you can bring your next one forward. Repeat for your third. Then every time you check in, get on the app and select another. If a later time comes up for your next ride, book it. Then go to amend again and more times may come up to edge it forward. If you get competent on these tactics you can go unplanned in August ( the trip I mentioned above we were not planning MK that day at all until the night before) with minimal waits. In August I aim to be leaving park 2-3 at the latest (sometimes before lunch) and chilling by the pool later. Makes for a much more pleasant experience. Much easier if staying on site.
