Always gone with kids on hols so 2 weeks is enough for us!
But as for getting 3 weeks off, at my work 2 weeks at a time max unless authorized by my manager, who I can manipulate anyway. I'm a vehicle technician so there are times of year we can't have any time off ( end Feb beginning march, end aug start of sept)
My partner is a manager in palliative care and just starting her new job next week so we unsure what length time off she can have yet. When it's just the 2 of us able to go on hols we will be looking for longer than 2 weeks. I get 30 days + bank hols.

DH is a Headteacher and I
am a stay at home mum so we could definitely do three weeks in the summer but we can’t afford it 🤣

I work in Law Enforcement. Through time served I am at the top of the leave entitlement therefore I usually get 8-12 weeks per year because I work part time I am credited for bank holidays too as the majority of Bhols don't fall on my working day.

I took 3 weeks when I worked term time only in a nursery.
I’m not really sure I could do it now. Firstly I work in credit control and taking 3 weeks out of a month wouldn’t be ideal - I work to targets and I think being there 1 week out of 4 I’d have no chance of hitting my target but also I’d be mega stressed because of the usual monthly tasks I have to do.
Also I’m not sure I’d be allowed to. When I started working we were told that anything past 2 weeks we would have to request the time off and get it approved. The thing is a few employees have taken a month off to go on pilgrimage so I’m sure they would have to consider it.

my wife is a carer who only gets 4 weeks off a year. I work in a morrisons & I 6 weeks 3 days holiday (have to work bank holidays so added to our year) as i've been there 16 years & get an extra day added every few years.

to go for 3 weeks we've done it straddling the holiday year end so that its easier for the wife to handle (2 weeks in march from 2018 hols, 1 week in april of 2019).
