We got ours in person at the Downtown Orlando courthouse. It was actually really easy, took about 20 minutes. Then went straight to Universal on our way back. There was a car park just by it.

It was quite a few years ago, but unless it's changed massively don't let that option put them off getting it direct there.

disneyweddingpodcast/201...riage-license/

That podcast explains it perfectly. We don't have enough time between our arrival and our wedding to get the license in person, so we've submitted the paperwork to Brevard County for the mail license.

I believe the process is they will send us the license once we hit the 60 day mark, we need to pay to have it notorised in the UK and then we (I can't remember which I need to listen to the podcast again myself!) mail it back or just give it to our officiant on the day. Then after the wedding, the officiant takes your license back to the courthouse and we'll receive it in the mail in the UK some time later.

You can also take the licence back to the court house yourself (once you’re married & it’s been signed by the officiant). You then get the marriage certificate there & then.
