Natsynoo's Perfect Panamian Adventure: DCL EBPC Oct 2018 - Day 4 At Sea
We woke at 6.30am, which doesn’t seem bad, but the clocks had gone forward a further hour overnight…I think I’m going to need a nap to crack this jet lag today!
We laid in bed for an hour and then got up to unpack the final case (that was found last night). We headed up for breakfast at about 8am – I was devastated that there were no Lucky Charms on offer, but thankfully the French Toast was delicious and more than made up for it! IMG_1238 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr IMG_1237 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr IMG_1236 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr First morning feeling – nothing better! IMG_1235 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr We went up on deck ready for our day ahead, but it was a bit (unexpectedly) chilly, but it was a nice to rest anyway. Snow White was on Funnel Vision, followed by Lilo & Stitch, and it started to warm up at about 10am. At midday, I went to pick up a placeholder booking form from the Cruise Bookings desk, ready to get that submitted, and during the Captain’s daily announcement, he informed that we would be stopping for less time than planned at Cabo San Lucas tomorrow, and reminded us that we were not going to stop at Puerto Vallarta the day after, due to the need to avoid the hurricanes in the area. At 1pm, we decided it was time for lunch. I had pizza and a schwarma and Matt had pizza but no chicken tenders as there was a 10 minute wait for them and he was impatient! We had some ice cream after. IMG_1240 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr IMG_1239 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr By 4pm, Matt had had enough sun for the day, so we went back to the room to get ready for the evening. At 6pm, we had some photos on deck 4, and then went to the Walt Disney Theatre to watch the Dvid Gatti magician/illusionist variety show. It was good but we felt that the type of magic was quite old-fashioned. IMG_1248 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr IMG_1245 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr IMG_1243 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr IMG_1242 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr We then went to Azure to watch the Beverley Belles do their ‘Modern Retro’ show – basically singing modern music in their wartime style. It was just fantastic! We had a couple of soft drinks too, which cost $4.31. Matt enjoyed a hot dog during the show! IMG_1250 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr Dinner tonight was to be at Tiana’s Place and I was really excited as I love the Princess and the Frog and this was a new restaurant for us too! IMG_1253 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr IMG_1251 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr IMG_1252 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr 20181021_025116 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr The Jazz Band – the Crawfish Crooners – were fabulous! Right up my street! IMG_1254 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr I had the Crab Dip, Matt didn’t have an appetiser – the Crab Dip was excellent! IMG_1255 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr We both had the Jambalaya for entrée, with a trio of veal to share too IMG_1256 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr IMG_1257 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr Matt then had the ice cream sundae IMG_1259 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr And I had the Berry Financier IMG_1258 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr The food was all really good! After dinner, we went to see the first showing of the Beverley Belles performing their Victory Swingtime set (the classics of that era) which was another fantastic performance! After the show, we checked in the Atrium and saw that Mickey was out greeting his guests with not much of a wait (we found this was the key – we would just check the Atrium from time to time throughout the evening, and later in the evening, the character greet wait times were really low!). IMG_1266 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr We loved the Halloween décor! 20181021_032606 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr 20181021_032414 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr 20181021_032400 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr 20181021_032331 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr 20181021_032345 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr After this, we were ready for bed! What a fab first full day on board! IMG_1265 by Natalie Pope, on Flickr |
