The park looks beautiful.

The Kate pizza sounds delicious, it's a pity it was too early. Your real lunch looks delicious though. Dinner also looks good, I'd have probably been a bit annoyed at having to have Italian twice in the same day, but a promise is a promise haha.
I agree, it was an emotional trip. I wonder though if it just becomes part of the wallpaper or background and that if you live there you don't really see it? It's hard to know isn t it?

The park was lovely to walk around...hence we went back!

I did say no more Italian food! Well, for me anyway. I never did manage to eat any black forest gatteau for you, I looked out for it but I didn't spot any on the menus.

I was surprised at how many pizza and pasta restaurants there were and said as much to Dave. To which he said I was being silly and to think about our home town, or London as it seems like every other restaurant is Italian...It's hardly surprising that Berlin had so many.

Well done you for going up the tower.

And how lovely is that wrought iron lamp-post? Very fancy!

I wasn't happy about the climb up the staircase! But I made it.

The parks were so pretty and there were lots of interesting statues and things like that which caught our eyes.

The Tiergarten is so pretty, even in October!

Well done for climbing the column. I am the same as you with mild fear of the steps. I went to the Eiffel Tower on a hen party and we got the lift up (thankfully) but decided to take the stairs down. I hated walking down the stairs as you could see through them and all around you as you walked down. It's odd because heights never made me nervous, but this did!
Well done you for going up and down the column successfully.

Poor Kate ending up with a margarita pizza rather than bolognese. At least she got it later though you did end up with Italian twice - luckily it all looked good, and the evening meal came with free prosecco, which is the best kind of prosecco

I loved the bears too, particularly the smart gold bears with the chariot...

I also took bear selfies as I was travelling solo...

Brilliant photos of you with the bears! They were probably my favourite part of the trip as I loved looking out for them. Ok maybe not my favourite part but they lightened the mood a little in between all the serious stuff in Berlin.

I was really proud of myself getting to the top of the column, I had to brace myself for the walk back down. The Eiffel Tower is huge though, I can't imagine doing that!
