La Jolla?
Currently deciding where to go for 2 nights between Joshua Tree and San Diego. I want to stay somewhere where we can walk to stuff, esp restaurants/bars in the evening, but also ideally somewhere that is nice for a walk around during the day or has things to do/see within walking distance. This is mainly so that OH has a couple of days of not driving (much) and can enjoy a nice meal and a drink in the evening. I was thinking we would have an extra 2 nights in San Diego but book a more central hotel than we have already booked, but now I'm wondering about staying in La Jolla for that 2 nights instead. Any thoughts? It looks like we could enjoy a couple of days there but interested to hear other people perspective.
Edited to add: family of 4, kids aged 13 & 10, if that makes a difference. |

Beautiful place but it is on San Diego outskirts. Nice cafés and shops and also the beach you can walk for miles
