I agree the busy times of year would be enough to put off a first time visitor. We were totally unstressed about what we did, although I had lots of aims for MIL but she goes at a slower pace that we would normally, because we knew we'd be back in July.

Thanksgiving might be nice as you would get to see all the Christmas stuff, Are you thinking about 2 weeks? surely the whole time won't be crazy.
It would be for two weeks, possibly a little less depending on annual leave.

I really want to see the Candlelight Processional so rather than worrying myself silly for 18 months over when the dates will fall I thought being there over Thanksgiving would mean I'd definitely get to see it. We'd fly out the week before, when hopefully it wouldn't be too busy, then home on Black Friday, or the following day.

When I mentioned Thanksgiving to Nik he looked horrified, he doesn't have much patience for crowds, but I'm not allowed annual leave in December so if I'm seeing CP then it has to be Thanksgiving

A lovely evening at MK with the dessert party.
The weather was one of the biggest highlights of the trip, we had no clue what to expect. Even if it was freezing Ds would have had us in Stormalong Bay as he loves it so much. With the prices continuing to rise it will be a long time till he's swimming in there again

Even if it's madly busy over Thanksgiving with a bit of planning you'd still be fine, like you said not ideal for a first trip but you and I are past the stage of saying disney is a once in a lifetime trip I was so worried about everything I'd read about Christmas with lots of people saying never again, we didn't feel like that at all.

The weather was just too good not to. Are you heading back next Christmas?

Another lovely relaxing morning - the pool at Beach Club always looks like so much fun. The dessert party looked lovely. I keep wondering if it is a good idea for us on our next trip. Last time we somehow managed not to see HEA so it is a top priority!

HEA is amazing. I was surprised how emotional I felt watching it.

The dessert party gives a good view, I’d recommend it if it’s really busy. I think the dessert parties at HS are better though.

Thanks Danielle. I'm not really sure it is worth the money but we certainly enjoyed it.
