Pint of Downeast Cider please. Boston 2018 Part 2

We had an early night which became the theme after so much walking (not a taxi in sight ! ) which we said we would do. Got up, filled up on Pumpkin Spice latte and headed off into town. This time, we walked up Seaport Boulevard and croosed into the city. As we had pretty much orientated ourselves the day before, we just headed up any old street until we came across the Boston Common area.
After wandering around we picked up the Freedom Trail and followed it for a bit being total Johnny Tourists. Leander pointed out that I was literally walking on the red bricks. I hadnt realised ! This was a little bit strange as we seemed to be in a bunch of dedicated aimless wanderers, so we went back over to the common and found a "pub" to have some food. Burger and sandwich later, very uninspiring, we wandered back down to to the hotel to drop off our swag from the Macys Thanksgiving sales. Yes, yes I know
Just before the bridge, we noticed an Irish pub that didnt look touristy, so into Biddy Earlys we went. Another pint of Downeast Cider please barman. Leander had an Archers and lemonade. She only drinks on special occasions, so was totally unprepared for the half a bottle she got poured for her. I was right in my assessment of it being more for locals and was soon chatting to a few at the bar. Quite full for midday ! Loved the fact that we could just have a drink anytime we wanted. Leander was taking her time so she nodded at my glass. Another pint of Downeast Cider please barman
After gong back, having a swim and sorting the shopping we wandered over the City Tap House,
a somewhat lively pub for dinner. A superb ribeye and chicken burger and fries later we we had a drink before going back. Another pint of Downeast Cider please barman.
Back at the hotel, as it was still a bit early, Leander wanted to sit in the lounge by the fire for a bit, so, Another pint of Downeast Cider please barman. Lovely way to finish off an off-the-cuff day wandering around the city. Got really addicted to wandering around Boston Common. Very relaxing.

We tried the Downeast cider. Didn't look the best but tasted lovely. Fair to say our quick one pint turned to two
