I’m posting a spoiler warning here!

We enjoyed it. It didn’t live up to the hype of people saying it was terrifying, I didn’t find it scary but just like most dystopian movies. I didn’t get why some people survived being infected or what the goal was for people to become infected. I also don’t know why the kids didn’t have names. But was still good to watch.

Weird - it only came on Netflix recently, not sure why it was taken off so quick. It is really, really good, if it comes back on. It was definately there on Xmas eve as I watched it, it only came on end of July.
A guy has his daughter killed in an RTA, and he gets a lot of compensation.
He lives in one of those big houses in an abandoned Detroit neighbourhood and is blind.
Three young villains decide to try and rob him of his compo- big mistake.

I thought Bird Box was a good film, I didn’t find it scary though.

I really enjoyed the 2 films that have been recommended (Don’t Breathe and Cargo).

I’ve just watched Ghost Stories which I thought was quite good too.

The author of Bird Box, Josh Malerman, has written two other horror novels about senses. Mad Black Wheel is about a retired army band who are sent into the desert to locate the source of a sound that sends people mad. Unbury Carol is about a woman who falls into a deep sleep and gets buried alive by her unscrupulous partner!
