Toddler Trials sponsored by Timmies - Canada 2018 Day 13 Toronto Aquarium

Toddler Trials sponsored by Timmies - Canada 2018
Day 13 Libby's let loose in the big city, Toronto Aquarium

I’m Emily, my husband is Gary and this was our first overseas holiday with our 17 month Libby. We visited family near Toronto and spent a few days in Montreal too.

Today we were going into Toronto with Gary’s cousin Damian, his girlfriend Clare and her 2 boys Sid & Kristopher.

We were heading to the Aquarium since our priority was obviously to entertain the kids! No wandering round the city shops for me this year .

We left just before 10 and stopped off for coffee and fuel. At Timmies obv, don't think I need to even state that . I also thought I better take some cash out as we didn’t have any left and we weren’t sure if we’d need it for parking.

It was Sunday so we were hoping we wouldn’t hit traffic. We also now knew we could use the car pool lanes. We thought they were maybe for people with special permits but Damien had explained they’re basically for anyone with more than one person in the car .

Libby fell asleep on the way.

Can't believe how much she's grown since May, she looks teeny here compared to now!

Some pics as we drove into the city...

We arrived at 10:50 (so quicker than the train!) and parked in an underground car park just across the road from the Aquarium, which is right beside the Rogers Stadium and the CN Tower.

Parking was $32, ouch! We knew this before we left though and had decided driving was still the best option.

We headed over to the Aquarium. It was a lovely hot, sunny day.

Libby loves other children, especially when they're slightly older than her and double especially when they're boys!

For the 3 of us it was $81.10 including tax and we also paid $2 for a guidebook.

We had a really good few hours in here, the kids loved it. The boys were being very cute with Libby.

Cue lots of fish photos!

We found Dory!

There was a funny tunnel you could crawl through that the boys and Libby loved going round and round through. She was small enough to walk through it haha!

Daddy let her pick a soft toy in the shop. The green one came home with us

When we came out, a Blue Jays game was about to start so it was quite busy. It was also ROASTING .

We headed down for some lunch at Hoops.

I had ceaser wrap and Gary had a burger. Libby ate fries and some of the boys chicken tender things. I don't have photos sorry, but it was decent enough food. We halved the bill and put $60 in.

We then headed over to Steam Whistle Brewing for a wander. Gary wanted to pick up a few beers. It’s in The Roundhouse, which was once the Canadian Pacific Rail Company’s steam locomotive repair facility so there are lots of old trains outside to see.

The boys went on a little train ride that rode round the park. I didn’t think Libby would sit still enough though and it was so hot so she sat in the buggy with a banana then we let her wander round the trains and tracks.

Look at those skint knees!

We then headed to the Blue Jays shop for Gary to get a new jersey.

We left at 3:30, we were all hot and Libby was exhausted. She wouldn’t fall asleep in the car though .

We got home about 4:30 and all had ribs and pizza for dinner, yummmm.

Thanks for reading xx
