Disney Cruise - should come with a warning
It’s expensive and addictive
So we took our first cruise last Friday. Well let’s just say after the 1st night I had booked a placeholder. We got back to the uk yesterday and by 8pm last night and transferred the place holder to a 7 night Eastern Caribbean in December If I had to put it down to one thing it’s the kids activities, when you have a 5 year old old sat on the beach at castaway cay moaning that they don’t want to be with us and they want to be at scuttles cove with the other kids you know they have it right, Our 12 year old had cleared off earlier! It’s a worrying new addiction that I see only becoming worse |

It only gets worse.
We booked a placeholder last September so it seems we just have to go again this year. (10 th trip) We stupidly booked concierge for a once in a lifetime experience on 3 day trip. Worse thing we could have done. |

We booked our first in 2012 a five night on the Disney Dream to see if we liked it.
At the end of January we are taking number 22 and 23 and have 24 and 25 booked. How did that happen?

Disney Cruise Line VIP!

Similar to Majik above, we have 22 under our belt, with #23 in 28 days time and a few more after that!
I do think cruising in general is addictive though, it's just great to wake up in the morning in another country/city/port - makes multiple destination travelling so easy. There is a cruise line for everyone and it may well be that when your children get older, they will want the surf machine and ice skating that you can get on the other cruise lines, but for now, enjoy DCL! I'm doing the Eastern in Feb, it's a lovely itinerary. Joa

That’s scary to see just how many you have all clocked up!
The only thing I know I am safe from in the concierge state rooms, they don’t appeal to us, We spend so little time in ours a inside room would have been fine for us! |

Completely agree! We done a 3 night Bahamas Cruise on the Dream in December 2014 as a 'one off' for a special birthday trip and we're now planning cruise number 7 and we have another 2 placeholders sitting waiting to be used!
