No Virgin/Sky etc

Im considering going rogue and ditching the satellite/cable providers.

Im a bit wary so looking for advice.

I know I will need a broadband connection and I have a smart TV and subscribe to Netflix and Amazon Prime already.

I assume that if I go BB only I would connect this to my TV so that I can stream the above services?

If I want to subscribe to Now for extra channels and sports etc do I do this through the TV or buy a Now TV box?

Am I missing anything?

TIA

I ditched Sky 18 months ago, I got Now Tv and never looked back. As far as I know there aren't any apps for Now Tv, we have the box and stick and they are easy to use. There are often good offers about for it too. You can have four devices registered and two being used at the same time so I share the the account with my daughters (at different addresses) but I pay for it. I've never really taken to Netflix, we have it as an app on out Tv but I only tend to use when there is a programme on I want to watch and then when it has finished I cancel it.

We got rid of Sky a few months back. We now have terrestrial, Netflix, Amazon Prime and the other free on demand services like iPlayer etc. Don't miss it at all!

We switched from sky to now tv a couple of years ago and I can’t recommend it enough. We were dubious at first but now tv is just as good and our monthly bill is half what it used to be.
We have a now tv box downstairs and a now tv stick upstairs. The now tv just connects wirelessly to your broadband and away you go! I was shocked at how easy it all was lol

Edited at 06:50 PM. Reason: Added more information

We ditched our sky about 2 years ago. We have BT broadband, Netflix and Amazon I player etc and digital tv. From some £90 we are down to 49.00 with all and we are amazed with service and quality of programs and never looked back.

Hi
When my contract was up with virgin I had planned to ditch the tv and just keep telephone and BB but it was a £1 more to keep the player tv but we rarely watch anything on it and use Now tv more, I bought a 12 month package for the movies and entertainment passes for £99 great value.
