No I think the price for the room that states 5th sleeper should be correct. I honestly don't know with regards to the kids aged 10 and up. My agent called and was told we couldn't price POR as the 5th sleeper could only be sold to someone with kids 9 and under. It's the first I'd heard of it and I don't know if anyone else has had this problem. It was only yesterday that we were told this so I think it's pretty new. In a way I hope it was just the wrong info given by someone at disney but there's no telling.

Are there any more experienced Dibbers who can offer an opinion on if prices have changed much from their initial level in previous years? I wonder if everyone is thinking about it whether they may come down
I know the prices I was looking at at CBR were about £200 pn and now they are £250pn and v similarly priced to POR (which is slightly more) they have def bridged the gap between these 2 hotels so that’s an additional £700 plus the extra ticket price and if we were going we would upgrade the dining plan so it’s working out expensive. As I’m stuck now to Aug for a couple of yrs flights seem to be outrageous so lots to think about

How strange... maybe another way of stopping families with teenagers using the sleeper bed and so the only option with a family of 5 is to pay for a 1 bed

We first went in June 2013. I priced for the same dates in 2020, and in those 7 years the price has more than doubled. I think our trip this October will could be our last trip for a while

Well it’s pretty much what I expected but I’ll only be booking if free dining is released. If not I’ll get a two bed apartment elsewhere in LBV or something.

I’m a bit tempted with CSR though, it’s coming out about £400 cheaper and some of the renovations look really nice

I'm afraid we've got to look at this in the cold light of Disney (which I know all about having DVC, they just tried to increase many of the points per night on their most loyal customers, until backing down under threats of lawsuits).
If you baulk over the prices, Disney probably don't want you.
They want people with plenty of money, both for the accommodation, the meals, the merchandise, and now all the extra parties etc.

Yes I do too. But my agent called 2 days ago to see if they will allow me to change resorts I've been told no. The 5th sleepers are now only being sold to people in groups of 5 with a child under 9. Like I said I'm hoping it's a mistake as a lot of people have older kids and these 5th sleepers suit them. Anyone with less people still can book those rooms and just pay the extra. It's just the 5th person needs to be under 9 apparently.

Does anyone know what the situation is regarding the last few months of the year? We were hoping to check out on the 1st Oct but that option isn’t available on the website yet.

It’s not the end of the world if we shuffle a day earlier - just nice to have an idea of how it might play out.
