Hi folks,

Has anybody recently completed the above route to the US? I have seen flights at a good price but there is a 2 hours 10 minutes layover and I'm not sure this is enough time to complete the pre-clearance.Flight times are 09:30 - 10:50 to Dublin then 13:00 to Newark with Aer Lingus and I did contact customer services to seek guidance but they would only say to allow at least 2 to 2.5 hours for an EU flight or 3 to 3.5 for a flight to the US so I'm a bit unsure whether to take the plunge or not!

I think you arrive in T2 and depart from T2 with your bags going straight through so it sounds doable but thought I would ask to see if anyone has done this recently and can advise.

Coming back I'm not too sure what the procedure is, i.e. do the bags go straight through to Edinburgh or not but I can investigate that another time!

Thanks in advance.

When I travelled, on transfer in T2 there was a separate lane with shortly departing flights listed. Additionally, while in the immigration hall, staff were constantly walking through looking for people without a lot of tine. I'd be tempted.
