When I was a traffic cop it literally was the most desolate place to go ( mid 80s).
Now Watford Gap that is a poor service station.

Having worked in Barrow in Furness for two years and visited on many occasions have to agree.
A590 biggest cul de sac in the UK. Used to be a nightmare on a Friday afternoon if you were heading towards the M6 and got stuck behind a caravan.
