LAX hotel?
Hi. We have an early flight from LAX and it was suggested to me it might be easier to stay at hotel at the airport the night before so we can drop the hire car off and so it’s not such a rush in the morning. I have no experience of LAX at all. We have flights with Delta which I believe is Terminal 2. Are there any hotels that anyone can recommend? Are there any that wouldn’t require a shuttle to the airport from the hotel that we can walk to close to the terminal?
The flight is a 6.30am Saturday flight so would it just be easier to travel up early from Anaheim?

All the terminals are in a sort of loop, including the TBIT which you will be using and hotels are out of that loop - even if they aren’t the traffic is crazy (and dangerous) so I would get a shuttle (but haven’t ever seen a hotel that near that you could walk) - just choose a hotel that you are happy with and that has a shuttle (which I guess most/all will have one operating at 0630 which is a busy time for LAX commuters) - before I knew LAX well I used to stay at Embassy Suites as it was cheap and rooms spacious but know I know LA well I would stay in say Santa Monica and get a cab over - a much better experience for me

George, my instinct is, save yourself the aggravation of checking out and back into an airport hotel for the sake of an extra hour or so in bed. You’re going to have an early morning either way and if you got a taxi from your Anaheim hotel to your terminal, that would save time returning car hire etc too?

Thank you for all the replies. I think I'll probably just just come up from Anaheim early. 🙂 I think I'll just be making more work for myself!
