Flight to Vegas

With the restrictions being dropped I am looking to fly to Vegas to see my friend but flights in Jan are over £600 but only £320 to LaX. Don’t mind the drive but only planning to go for three or four nights and flying solo not so sure

You need to factor in price of car rental and fuel cost. And than a 5 hour drive after a very long flight.

I’d book an internal with Southwest from LAX to LAS and back. They’re one of the few that includes luggage in the ticket prices, and we’ve always found them really good

Thx I will have a look I travel light anyway.

I have done the drive many times just tough when solo and on a short trip

Once my friend manage to meet us in LAX and we went to Vegas in a "borrowed" private jet so fingers crossed

We were supposed to going to vegas today and again 30th October

Both times we booked to fly to LA and drive to Vegas as its just so much cheaper.

In fact it’s what we’ve done the last few West Coast trip.. for the 4 of us the saving’s have always been well over £1000.

Fuel costs are minimal though…

It’s not the best drive after a long flight.. quickest we’ve done it is 4 hrs , longest almost 8 because of traffic..

These days we fly into LA, drive as far as Ontario Mills stay the night there and then onto Vegas early next morning .. always in Vegas before lunchtime.

For such a short trip I’d want to maximise time and I would pay the extra for a direct flight. I’m notoriously tight for flight costs but you’re going to be spending extra time (and money by the time you’ve rented, driven, paid to park possibly) which I would guard against as your trip is so short.

last time , we got flights for about £45 from LAX to LAS
its a nice long drive, traffic can be busy till you get out of LA and its crazy busy Friday nights.

There are many flights from Los Angeles to Vegas. Depending on the day of the week that you travel they can be quite cheap.
