Dog Harness issue!

Hi Dibbers. Just popped new puppy in car for a short drive to get him used to it (he hated it, he cried drooled and shook the whole way!) when I tried to put him back into the car, he pulled backwards, slipping his harness off!

I managed to grab him, and carried him into car, but, am now so scared he will slip his harness like this everytime. Can anyone recommend an escape proof one thats easy to get on and off please?

This is the one we have.

I have a dog that likes to ‘do a Houdini’. We have the Ruffwear ones that have the extra strap around the body and adjust it so it is a snug fit.

My mum had no end of troubles with that exact harness in the car, he would get out of it every time. In the end they bought a Perfect Fit harness and he hasn't got out of it once.

Perfect fit harness: comes in three pieces to get a perfect fit. Also means you don't have to replace all as they grow.

Fleece lined for comfort. Front and top rings to attach. Designed to allow shoulder movement ( some harnesses restrict movement)

Also, what I like about them, is that you can put them on a dog without the need to lift a leg up or go over the head. The Guide Dogs use these harnesses too, which speaks volumes.

We had a Wainwright's Step In Puppy Harness for Fudges first harness, easy to put on and no way was it coming off.

We went to Pets at Home with her and they will fit the harness's for you so you get a good fit
