Universal hotels?

Hi

Totally new here and yet to dive into the files and trip reports. I just wondered, do Universal have any hotels like in Orlando with express etc? This is all so new to me but we would love to go in 2023. I know it sounds daft but I get really anxious going new places and imagine all sorts like choosing awful hotels but DH would love to see more of America and I would love to see Disneyland so time to start researching.

the first thing to note for a first timer is that Universal Studios Hollywood is located in Burkbank, LA County and Disneyland is located in Anaheim, Orange County and it can take up to 90 minutes depending on day and time of day to drive between the two.

There are two onsite hotels at Universal Studios, The Hilton and The Sheridan.

Stay at either The Hilton or The Sheridan and visit Universal Studios, and do all the Hollywood tourist things.

Then change hotels, and stay at one of the Anaheim hotels to go to Disneyland

We stayed in Lowes Hollywood and got an uber to universal. Cost was around $5.
We paid for a ticket with front of line.
Lowes was fantastic. If the Dolby next door has an event - the stars generally stay here.
We stayed for the NAACP 50yr Awards. We bumped into every black actor/musician from the USA.
It was amazing.

Amazing, this is exactly the kind of direction I need!

Any recommendations for a base hotel for a 2nd week for going to busch, the zoo etc? Also is 2 weeks ok or too much? Just for disney/univ, busch, the zoo, couple of chilled shopping days if theres anywhere? Hubby drives in Florida all the time so no probs there. Also probably look at the WB tour.

Great, I'll have a wee look. Was the front of line just the 1 use per ride one?

There is just Disneyland in Anaheim, there is no Bush Gardens, Zoo etc like you have in Florida.

There is another different theme park called Knotts Berry Farm which is a Snoopy themed park, similar to Alton Towers or Chessington.

When people go to Disneyland, they usually just do Disneyland, go to Huntington Beach and maybe Knotts Berry Farm.

For shopping in Anaheim there is a few local malls, The Outlets at Orange is one I have been to.

If you want to go to The Warner Bros Studio Tour, I would do that when stay at Universal, as its in the same area.

We purchased it when we went in. I think it was an all day one for as many times as you like, we went on the mummy 11 times!

Ok, cool, noted for WB, I was looking at the Los Angeles Zoo and Busch Gardens seems to be about half hour drive from Universal too. I take it most touristy stuff tends to be more in that area than Anaheim.

I'm gonna read some TRs and try to get a fee for everything. Thank you

Ah ok, yes, all the touristy stuff, from Studio tours, to the Zoo, Hollywood Walk of Fame, museums, La Brea Tar Pits, Griffith Observatory and places like Santa Monica Beach and Venice Beach should all be planned for staying in the Hollywood or Universal area.

Anaheim is a town with Disneyland in the middle of it. Part of the Monorail track runs alongside one of the main streets of Anaheim.

The two Busch Gardens parks are a flight away not 30 mins away.
