Mamma Mia - the show - brief review as promised

Well we finally got to see this yesterday and a really good time was had by all.

However nothing in life is perfect so a few tips for anyone thinking of booking it,

The food is not brilliant so think of it s show where you eat.
We paid for the best tickets (partly because we were a party of 8 so this meant we had our own table ) but there is nothing wrong with the cheap seats.
The phone signal /wifi inside the 02 is not good, big panic downloading our vaccine certificates.

These are all minor negatives easily out-weighed by the positives of a beautiful venue (Greece definitely on list for next year again), great entertainment, lots of singing and dancing and a fabulous friendly atmosphere. Today I have a sore throat and the songs of Abba still in my head. Don't know why they had to sneak in "Slipping through my fingers" though. 😭

So glad you enjoyed this and thanks for the review. I have tickets for February with my twin daughters as a post Covid, belated 21st birthday celebration. I booked after I saw you writing about it earlier in the year - so thank you!
Eek - I don’t wear make up usually anyway but I’m definitely not going to bother if they play Slipping through my Fingers! I’ll be a mess! 😂

You must have been in with Mrs YT and YT’ette yesterday. Master YT and myself went to the Hammers game instead.

Great review, I would love to see it but I think it’s cheaper to go to Greece and sing the songs. Glad you had a good time Sue xxx

I’m behind the times but this is good to know. My niece is having her hen night here at the end of April. 10 of us so it should be a good night. I’ve been worried that it’s not my sort of thing but it sounds fine.

We have the expensive tickets because the cheaper ones are sold out already for the Saturday which surprised me.

I went to this in December - such a good night and the food was lovely! Expensive it seemed - but then a theatre trip plus dinner would have been the same sort of price so all in all quite reasonable. I'd definitely go again!

Oh you will love it - not heard of one person who's been and didn't.
