They have always just scanned and give you a receipt. Not once have they checked the car over. I always take The car back cleaner than when I picked it up.😂

I took a car back after Hurricane Irma with at least 5" deep worth of tree debris in the gap where the wipers sit!

Plus the rest of the car was bogging. Now way do I clean a rental car.

You don’t need to video the outside of the car for damage in Florida as every rental thro a UK agent includes CDW ( collision damage waiver). That is you are covered for damage to car. I assume your rental wasn’t in Florida?

When you take a photo with your phone it saves information about the location (if GPS is on), time, date, etc. Its called metadata, on android phones you open the photo then swipe up to see the info.

Fort Lauderdale.

That was my point on the phone that if i had smashed a mirror off then it's fine and covered.

A little bit of sand after 3 weeks use then it's $250 to Hoover it up. Which i thought was done on every car return as standard but seems it's not.

I think I'll use that as if it requires specialised cleaning ($250 i would say is specialised) then surely it would be seen on return especially as they say it's in front and rear footwells.
The guy there went in the car to do mileage, fuel and to check nothing left in there then gave me a ticket reciept.

We always take the mats out and get rid if the sand before returning the car from a beach trip - never want4ed to take the chance that they would apply the charge.

No it wasn't in Florida, Cyprus was where I got caught. I just film every car I rent out of habit now.
