Wedding in August?
Hi
Im new to the forums. We got engaged some time ago and have finally decided its time to arrange the wedding! My husband to be's uncle has a villa he is letting us use in orlando from 21st july till 10th august 2018. We have looked at so many places and like paradise cove but also would maybe consider a beach wedding at anna maria island. My major concern is the time of year due to august being technically hurricane season. Does anyone have any advice, experience or suggestions please? |

Hiya. I married in August 2015 on Daytona Beach. August weather is changeable as you know and there are lots of storms, but they generally tend to be in the afternoon. We arranged the wedding for 10am, and the sky was clear blue, with not a cloud in sight x

We got married in August 2013 & were advised to have a morning ceremony to try & avoid the rain. We were married at 11am & the weather was gorgeous.

DD got married at Paradise cove this year on 29th August. The ceremony was 1pm and was absolutely perfect, the earlier the better as by 2.30pm it was raining .

Our wedding was August 16th and the weather was perfect
I did panic slightly when it started chucking it down whilst we were having our hair and make-up done but when we called the best man to pick us up he said it was dry as a bone at the house and they'd been in the pool the whole time. The house was under a mile away! Weird! We opted for just before sunset. The wedding planner said that would be the best time in terms of the heat level and also said rain would be most likely mid morning. Unfortunately you can never be 100 % certain so as long as your venue has a contingency for rainy days you'll be fine. I do think we could have had some amazing moody shots of the beach if if had rained. Besides, it's generally dry again in no time. Here's one of ours which was taken at 5 ish. I didn't want to be too late so that we could have photos in natural light. Edited at 07:47 PM. |

We got married at the Boardwalk on 5th August 2015 at 2.30pm. I was concerned the week leading up to the wedding as it rained pretty much every afternoon! On our wedding day there was a light shower once we were having our meal indoors and it cleared up just before our dessert party in Epcot
