Walmart or garden grocers - All Star Sports with DDP

Hi, im wondering whether to plan a trip to Walmart or get some basics delivered for our arrival? Its just going to be me and my 7yr DS so wont be visiting Walmart on arrival day. Im liking the idea of all the yummy cookies and cakes etc at Walmart so happy to get an Uber there and back. Worth a visit or should I stick to a delivery from garden grocers? Thanks in advance for all your advice

I'm no expert on the DDP as I've never done it, but don't you get loads of food including snacks? Not sure you would need more but I would take a trip to Walmart if you need to, you'll find loads of stuff there including loads of non food items you didn't know you needed! Pussycat

you really will not need any extra food on the DDP

BUT

if you did want to indulge, why not uber to a walmart and spend a hour or so having a look around and buying stuff ( we always buy drinks ( either bottles of cans ) and freeze them in the freezer ( i guess that AS sports has the same fridge as a OKW studio ? ? ) we always feel we would prefer a ice cream for our snack rather than a drink

It worked out cheaper for us to take an uber to Walmart from riverside to stock up on lager for the room fridge than buy at the resort ($16 for 6 small cans compared to $20 for 24 larger cans). We are not big drinkers but enjoy a can in the room after returning from the parks. We also stocked up on some pretzels and bottled water.

I would much rather take an Uber to Walmart and spend a couple of hours shopping - it's amazing! You'll see all sorts of bits that Garden Grocer don't cover, plus its cheaper, and you can look at the clothes, homewares, hot and fresh food as well. It's really cheap in an Uber too
