Theme Parks Close for Hurricane Matthew

Hope everyone keeps safe, very scary! We are due to fly out on the 15th Oct, counting down the days, but does anyone know what happens if the hurricane does cause damage do they stop holiday makers going out?
Hopefully it wont hit Florida and just stays over the coast and everyone stays safe. Please God! Hope everyone out there at the moment keeps safe, my thoughts are with you all, such a lovely country really hope the hurricane does not hit and stays over the sea as predicited.

Glad hotels are advising guests to stock up on food & water as it looks like that might be the only food/drink they have until storm passed & things up & running again.

I put CNN on earlier too, didn't realise we could get it here in the U.K. I hope everyone out there stays safe and damage is minimal. I'm tempted to get up and put the news on again now just to see what's happening.

We're here just now. Had a great day at magic kingdom and no queues! Now back at hotel keeping in out the rain

We were out at Magic Kingdom today a lot quieter than it has been. Got back to our hotel and had a answer phone message advising us to buy a packed meal from them as we have to ideally stay in our room tomorrow.
We popped to the shop at the Beach Club it was chaos due to the number of people in there. The queue at the Yacht Club bar to buy your packed meal was also busy. We are now stocked up with sandwiches and crisps. Had rain earlier but it seems to have stopped for now, the calm before the storm.
Feel very safe though

We went to a quiet Universal and it felt strange to know a hurricane was on its way and we were at a themepark! Traffic on the I4 wes really bad. We got on at 55 and headed to Universal and traffic in the opposite direction was backed up for miles. Seems that everywhere including take out and restaurants closed at 5pm. Just checked the news and they are suggesting that the eye may be staying out to sea (fingers crossed) stay safe if you are out here
