Ford Edge - is it big enough for 5?

Hi all,

We are a family of 5, the kids are 15, 13, 10 and we have booked a Ford Edge Group W through Avis.

We usually have a 7 seater and I’m now worrying that we are going to be squeezed into the SUV.

Has anyone experience of 3 kids in the back of an Edge? Just looking for some confidence that we have made the right call!

My sil had one of these with 2 car seats in the back and my dh could squeeze in between although he was a bit squashed, so with no car seats I think it would be ok but not exactly spacious.
Would also depend on amount of luggage as I don’t remember the boot being huge.

We had one for the 3 of us. One night we picked up 2 friends for a short trip. Hopeless with 3 adults in the back. If one of those adults had been me with my fat ≈≈≈≈ we wouldn't have got in!

It will be a squeeze but doable. The main issue will be luggage as the boot is not big. So depends on how much you intend to take.

Edge decent sized for rear passenger's not huge but adequate.
The boot is 600 litres so plenty of room for luggage just remember a fair bit of this space as with any SUV is vertical space.
2 ford Fiesta boots and abit for real world thinking on space.

2 Adults in the front and 3 kids in the back - yeah, will be big enough. Had one last trip and thought it was a great car.

WHy don't you go into your local Ford Dealer with the kids to try out the seating? Just kid on that you are interested in buying.
You then have the definitive answer
