I'm not worried by this as such, I'm sure (well very hopeful) that the fireworks will be on. Back when they released the times for MK in August the didn't publish from the 20th onwards until weeks after the beginning of the month, so I do wonder if they have something planned for this time?

We're there from 21st Aug and had planned to see the festival of fantasy parade on 22nd and happily ever after on 23rd. Will be keeping an eye on things!

Here is the response I got
Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney WorldŽ Resort. While we appreciate your interest in learning of the times for the Festival of Fantasy Parade and Happily Ever After fireworks in Magic Kingdom Park, details have not yet been set. We suggest you continue to check our website for up to the minute schedules as they become available. We apologize for any delay in planning that this may cause. |

Completely agree. Many of the US kids don't actually go back to school until late August and it doesn't tend to quiet down until the very last few days of August. Yes it's less busy than early August but it is far from quiet!
We went the last 2 weeks of August last year and only a couple of the rides were closed for refurbishment whilst all the parades/fireworks etc took place as normal. |

Thanks for the update.
I'm taking it as a positive that hopefully they'll add the firework and parade times soon.

Disney is going to have the parade and fireworks on during the last couple of weeks of August. They are just finalising some details - probably arguing working hours with the summer staff whilst trying to work out whether to keep MK open until 10pm like it is earlier in August or close at 9pm like in early Sept.
The end of August is just as quiet/busy as the beginning of September so the reason they are not listed at the moment is unlikely to have anything to do with crowd levels or American school holidays.

As others have said I'm sure it's to do with hours for workers as the end of summer season draws to a close. The hours for MK have changed twice since they were released a couple of months ago, so they're probably just finalising plans and show times
