Disney to universal without car

Hi everyone, planning our first trip to Disney in 2019!
We are planning to stay on site at Disney, just planning on visiting universal, just wondered how people travelled there if they were staying in Disney also?

Lots of people Uber - it is ridiculously cheap out there.

I would (and did) use Uber from Disney to Universal, brilliant service, and they are much cheaper than a cab.

We used uber from PBH to SSR last year for $15.28 (just checked) highly recommend uber x

Usually don’t take my phone abroad ( yes I know that’s not the norm) but it’s to get away from it. I do take iPad though. How would I be able to book Uber without phone. IN the past we have used bell services to book us a transfer

You can book Uber anywhere there is WiFi. Try Lyft they are cheaper

We are in the same situation and don't have an uber account.
If its only 1 or 2days you want at Universal, then we used a return shuttle (mears do it from disney to universal for about $20 each return).

We booked a morning slot and a late afternoon slot. You can change your return but need to call them and give 2 hrs notice. We had no phone, so couldn't do that.

If you were staying 1 or 2 nights, you may have to book as 2 single journey (1 way slots)

The service was excellent. Phone Mears to see if they still do it.


If not, only other option is a taxi or town car.Both expensive. Just priced a 1 way from animal kingdom to cabana bay hotel and its $52 flat rate (and thats with a 10% discount).

I think i'll need to find a way of getting access to lyft or uber whilst i'm there.

Its a bit of hassle but you could take the lynx bus 50 from the Disney Ticket and Transport Centre to Seaword and take the I ride trolley to I drive (Old wet n wild) and walk over the bridge.
Uber or taxis a lot easier but if your on a tight budget it is an option.

Sorry if misunderstood this , but are you saying the journey is $20 each way , or per person.
With 4 adults , 2 children moving from AKL to HRH $20 each is not a cheap option.
Last time we booked through bell services for the same journey and from recollection was around $40 dollars

Mears shuttle from disney hotel to universal cost me $19 return per person. It worked out good for us as there is only 2 of us.

Mears also do a 'flat rate' town car for $52 one way.Thats an online price.

Uber would be cheaper and I'm not sure about a taxi as it depends on time and traffic.
