Booking then upgrading

Hi I wonder if anyone can help. We are hoping to book Disney for next year. If we book cs would we be able to upgrade later to OKW or the new Riviera resort and if we did would we still get gift cards etc thanks.

In the past we have done this a few times and have always kept our free dining, gift card etc. If you change from a Moderate Resort to a Deluxe Resort your dining plan will be upgraded. I’m not sure if it is still the case but in the past if your new holiday cost more then there was no £50 admin charge for the change.

The only blip we’ve found with this is if you change Resort after you have chosen your magic bands they will be delivered to your original resort. It’s no big deal and the new resort will give you some but they won’t have any of the inscriptions you chose on them.

Port Orleans French Quarter is lovely, we really like staying there .

We are aiming to try a different resort each visit (although I’m sure we will run out of money before we run out of resorts!) so we have booked Coronado Springs for next year. We have ended up changing our resort booking on every trip so far we might end up upgrading later too. It’s great to have the option.
