Festival tips?

I’ve found a wind up torch quite useful when camping.

Watch out for tent tension ropes though, I’ve hit the deck a few times after tripping up over these 😂

Dd just got back from Leeds festival and for her the £30 for seat of luxury! Posher toilets was the best money she spent😂😂😂
Power banks for charging is a must. I sent her with water wipes she said these were a godsend better than baby wipes! She didn’t use her wellies once as it was dry and hot

He may want to take his own booze assuming he is old enough dd took gin and vodka in plastic water bottles however didn’t drink after her first night !

So, dd managed 11 hours sleep! 😂

Her main tips are 1, try to travel as light as you can. 2, take rubbish clothes. 3, a light in the tent is useful like a small camping light. 4, don’t pitch your tent near to trees as people wee near them. 5, have plenty of water, 7, take phone chargers and 8, spread your money.

She loved it and plans on going again next year! 🙈

I'm just back from Reading day ticket only to see the mighty Foos. No camping for me thankfully premier inn a 2 hour walk away as no taxis to be had. My 16 year old is off to sundown this weekend his first time. DD is on her way home from her 3rd Reading. She didn't look as grubby last night😜 Biggest tip spread your cash. Don't take anything of value. DD had flag pole trolley chairs flag pinched the first year. Tent peed over multiple times. Tents drawn over. BIL woke up at V to someone putting their hand under his pillow while he slept looking for money. If your not a fan of small spaces do not go in the pit! We were right up the front last night. Ok while the Distillers Frank Carter were on but the minute the Foos came on everyone pushed forward hard like they do. I stuck it out for one song then moved to the side to let the youngsters churn up the dust. Pit crews are really great at looking out for problems. Loads of water cups passed out bottles filled (water not pee) and photos taken. You just have to watch out for each other make memories and stay safe.

I almost feel they need to experience the awful portaloos, and not showering etc to appreciate home a bit more! Is that mean?

My son is a seasoned festival goer wouldn't be without his festival trolley. He puts his heavier stuff secured with gaffer tape on the trolley. It's usually a hike from the car park to the camp site, so it makes it much easier.
