Family rooms in gatwick hotels

We are staying the night before at gatwick and usually stay at the premier inn, but was just looking on their website and it said a 16 year old is classed as an adult our eldest will be 16 when we travel so would need a room of his own, is there any other hotels you would recommend with a family room where he would be ok to stay I would just prefer us all in the same room. Thanks

I think we stayed at the Hilton, we certainly had the biggest family room I've ever seen.

We stayed at a B&B called Cumberland House. You can leave your car there too and was reasonable with a lovely breakfast

I actually popped into the Premier Inn at Gatwick and asked exactly the same question when I was up there a few weeks ago.

The person at reception suggested the same as Lostscot has above.

I had thought of that but would be so embarrassed if they asked to see his passport

They definitely won't do that at a Premier Inn.

More than once I've booked for 3 and turned up with 4. Normally because my DH has decided to join us at the last minute. They have never batted an eye, and just brought extra towels etc as we needed.
