Universal Dining Plan Kids

Hi,
I am looking at the Universal dining plan and I know for adults, arguably you have to buy the most expensive stuff on the menu to save just a few dollars.

Does anyone know how this works for kids, it says they must purchase a kids meals from the menu but when looking at most of the menus for the places I would want to go to, they don't have kids meals on them. Trying to work out the value of kids meals and know what they would be allowed to choose. Can anyone help me please?

I will be going with my daughter who will be 8 (nearly 9) and my son who will have just turned 3. Assuming currently I wont bother getting one for him?

Thanks

We’ve had the kids one. I honestly can’t remember having trouble using them anywhere. I think if they don’t have kids meals they may give smaller versions of adult meals. At Disney you don’t specify between kids and adult meals whereas Universal you definitely do. If you buy kids dining plan you have to have kids. I think there should be pics of my kids meals in my food reports in my signature below.

excellent thanks, did you think it was good value for the kids then? Assuming they could get any snacks and drinks on the menu too?

I don’t think it’s great value and it doesn’t really save that much but the main reason I buy it is that I like to pre pay for things. It’s nice having it so you don’t need to worry about extra spends while in the parks. They are non expiry as well. I have a few snacks and drink credits left over that I’ll use next time.
