It really depends on what you want to do. Lake District, Fylde Coast- Ribby Hall near Blackpool is nice but it is quite pricey, Grange over Sands has a Haven site and you could visit the Lakes and Lancaster by train. From Merseyside maybe North Wales as an alternative. Forest holidays are opening soon at Delamere Forest. There are plenty of holiday parks around Windermere.

Do you drive? Maybe look to hire a car instead.
Depending how many train tickets you need a car might be about the same? |

Ribby Hall is nice, train to Preston then change for Kirkham.
Lytham is nice & easy reach by train or bus into Blackpool. Some nice eateries & pubs. Village hotel in Blackpool do some great deals and it’s handy for the zoo, park, golf (if interested) and has indoor & outdoor pools, tennis & good gym. Walking distance into town centre or 5 mins to Pleasure Beach in a taxi. All above all subject to the obvious !
