First time renting out points privately

Hi,

I’ve got some points left over that need to be used before 1st October 2021, normally I would used David’s to shift them but have heard they are a bit over subscribed so looking at selling them privately on here.

It’s the first time I’ve done it privately so would be interested if there is a guide or some tips on what the process is and what I should look out for?

I personally rented mine out very easily on Facebook - I offered them at too low a price as I was worried I would be stuck with them and actually had a queue of people wanting them within the hour! It’s the Americans that can travel at the moment that want them for cheap last minute breaks, I’m not sure any British dibbers will be looking to use them at the moment due to travel restrictions 👍

You can advertise on here, although the amount you might get as yours expires Oct might vary.
Also make sure you make it clear your policy 😊

It’s a relatively straightforward process to rent points out privately, though as others have stated your more likely to rent them on the us dvc Facebook groups.
I researched dvc rental agreements and used them as a base for my contract agreement, not everyone does this but I felt it was necessary to have terms & conditions agreed to in writing.

Cool, thanks for the suggestions. Im part of both “DVC Member Point Exchange and rental” and “DVC Disney Vacation Club Points Rental” FB groups.

Is one of these better than the other?

Does anybody have an example private rental contract? Can see the example one on David’s but just not sure what to change for a private rental!

I might be interested but I’d not want to commit until closer to the time. If you can get an American travelling soon that would be your best option.
