Another vote for Vivo really good Italian with great service the kids maintain it was the best meal they had and they are really picky eaters
Big Fire was also excellent with melt in the mouth flame grilled steaks and s’mores that you make with your own little fire pit at your table (although it’s not cheap)
For a quick service in the parks we enjoyed Thunder Falls Terrace not the usual fast food with Roast Chicken Corn on the Cob and Rice Bowls

Some great recommendations! Do you need to book for these restaurants as far out as Disney ones? I think 60 days is now the timeframe with Disney? Also do you book online?

When we went in February you didn’t need to book in advance as far as I know. The ones in Citywalk we just went and asked at the front desk, they take your number and give you an estimated time for a table. They text when it’s ready. In the parks I think there was one you had to book - can’t remember the name, but otherwise you queued.
I think you can book tables through your hotel if you’re staying onsite but we didn’t

Oh, can I add another one for in the parks? Bumblebee Taco Truck in the Simpsons area was fabulous for quick service! Quite cheap and huge tacos with a selection of toppings. Very filling and a great pitstop. There’s a huge outdoor covered seating area as well if you head from the truck down the side of the Animal Actor’s theatre

Didn’t need to book any of the restaurants on city walk, if you are staying in one of the premier universal hotels like Royal Pacific you get priority seating at a lot of the restaurants We also have a Landry’s card which gets you priority seating a Bubba Gumps
Most of the time you could just walk up and get seated within 15mins (this was August)
