Universal base tickets
Hi.
I'm looking for the cheapest option for 10 x 2 day base tickets (not bothered about Hogwarts Express) for Sept 1 and 2 2021. The best can see is direct from Universal and Undercovertourist, both the same at $116 inc tax per day (for some obscure reason it looks more expensive to buy a 2 day ticket than to buy 2 separate days? ). I just wondered if anyone knew of anywhere cheaper or any discount codes or anything? A good covid cancellation/change policy would be a bonus, Universal's only states up to 31 August. Cheers. At approx £85 per day that seems a good price to me. I am sure we were over £200 for a 2 day pass last time we went.

Are both the 1 day and 2 day base tickets which you are looking at for access only to IOA or US? Sometimes when switching up to the 2 day ticket it will give you a price which includes access to VB also and this is more expensive.

Yes, they are both 1 park per day, either IOS or US.
The lovely Danielle at undercovertourist provided a comprehensive explanation as to why 2 day tickets are more expensive... 'Hello, With the 2 day base ticket, it will actually give you a 5 day range, in which to use up both days of your ticket, so it does give you more freedom. So based on the start date you choose for the ticket, it will create an averaged rate on Universal pricing calendar and come up with the price it has listed. If you will be going Sept 1st and 2nd, both of those days would come out to $116.09 per day, and would be less than the 2 day base ticket that would give you a range of Sept 1st-Sept 5th. If you would be doing your 2nd day on the 3rd ($133.13), 4th($138.44), or 5th($138.44), those are higher priced days, so it would be a lower price to do the 2 day base tickets. If you are planning to go the 1st or 2nd of Sept, you could always choose your start date as Aug 30th, which would give you until Sept 3rd, to use up both days of the ticket. It would be about $1.25 more than to purchase the two separate 1 day tickets for the 1st and 2nd, however, it would still give you a bit of flexibility for if you need to skip a day, or trouble with weather, etc.' |
