Double tree hilton disney springs

Hi had anyone stayed here? Just wondered in particular what the buses to disney are like- do you have to book them or can you just get on like you do at the disney onsite hotels? Also whats the surrounding area like- any restaurants within walking distance?

Many thanks

The bus stop is about 10 feet from a side door off the lobby at Doubletree. Due to the compact nature of the hotel, you can get to/from your room to the bus stop in 2-4 minutes. The DoubleTree Suites is on the "A" route. Buses usually run in this order: Hilton Lake Buena Vista --> Holiday Inn --> B Resort --> DoubleTree Suites. These hotels are literally adjacent, only separated by parking lots and a little landscaping. And, the stops are usually very quick. The only delays that happen would involve wheelchairs and/or ECVs just like with the Disney buses, also like the Disney buses you don't have to book them you just have to wait as normal and hope the bus isn't full up when it comes!

The bus routes are as follows - one bus to Disney's Animal Kingdom, then Epcot. Another bus to the Transportation and Ticket Center (transfer to monorail/ferry for Magic Kingdom), then Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The DoubleTree is the farthest from Disney Springs, and is just under a 15-minute walk but you'll have easy access to the restaurants at Disney Springs

It is at the far end of Hotel Boulevard from Disney Springs but close to the Crossroads area. There have always been a fair few restaurants nearby (mainly chains) but some have closed recently for obvious reasons.

Do you mean the suites?
We found the buses fine but they take longer than the on site buses as go round all the DS hotels and multiple parks. We also didn't find them hugely reliable and chose to use Uber if we had a reservation or were in a hurry, but found them fine when we weren't in a big rush! We did have a couple of occasions they just didn't turn up as expected.
Disney Springs is a bit of a walk but completely doable (depending on the heat!). From there you can get the Disney buses to the resorts close to the parks also - eg contemporary for MK.
Happy to answer any other questions, we stayed there October 2019.
