Easiest way to get to Brooklyn
Hi all, we have just booked 5 nights in New York at the end of November, this will be our 5th time and we always try to do a couple of new things every time, we walked most of the way across the Brooklyn bridge last time but this time I would like to visit Brooklyn first and then walk back over, is the subway the easiest way to get there or is there a ferry across the river? Thanks

The easiest and quickest way is definitely the subway. We’ve done exactly as you describe both in the daytime and at night - love Brooklyn and walking back over the bridge, particularly at night 👍

It’s the best way to do it, because you get the fantastic Manhattan views all the way across the bridge

We've done both so walked over and back but last time we went I wanted to see it at sunset. We jumped on the subway to Brooklyn and slowly walked over just before it got dark, so we had day and night view. Wow it was amazing seeing Manhattan lighting up. We also done this with Empire State building, so we had day and night view 😍

Take a trip out to Colney island on the subway to see the old roller coaster etc and spend some time on the beach. Then get off on the Brooklyn side on the way back.
