I'm also gutted. I'm also surprised by the date. There is so much construction at epcot this summer. I would have thought they'd have waited until after the summer if its going to be closed for that long.

This is their busiest period.

I think they will delay the closing and refurb. Disney has to be wise how to spend their money this year(s).

It is iconic and holds great memories from my 1st trip in 1989 and will be missed, however I'm sure a refurb will give it a new lease of life.
